Compassion is an international Christian child development and child advocacy, ministry committed to working in partnership with local churches around the world to foster the spiritual, economic, social, physical and emotional development of children living in extreme poverty in over 26 developing countries.
Following an investigative visit in 2007 by six St Aidan’s parishioners to Kenya, Uganda & Rwanda, St.Aidans committed to supporting the Compassion Child Survival Program (CSP) operating through the Full Gospel Church, Masaka, Uganda (see FGC report). St Aidan’s has now been involved in 5 such trips to Masaka. A strong relationship has existed over 12 years between the two congregations that has been of enormous benefit to both. Although the formal relationship between the Full Gospel Church and St Aidan’s has now been completed there is a continuing relationship between many individual parishioners and members of the Full Gospel Church.
St Aidan’s is currently investigating alternate mission relationships.
